Highlights
- The Financial Wellness Series is a monthly webinar designed to help you build practical money skills with confidence. Hosted by Shahar Ziv, each session explores topics like budgeting, credit, investing, job offers, off-campus living, and more — so you can make informed financial decisions, one step at a time.
- April is Financial Literacy Month. Throughout the month, Student Financial Support hosts weekly opportunities to test your financial knowledge, learn quick money tips, and enter our giveaways. Stop by, try your hand at financial trivia, and pick up tools and resources to boost your financial confidence. To be entered into the weekly giveaways, make sure to log into your free iGrad account before completing the weekly tasks to ensure that you get credit.

Our financial wellness series are hosted by Shahar Ziv.
Shahar is an experienced educator, writer, and speaker who is skilled at simplifying the complex, sometimes intimidating world of personal finance. He has been teaching personal finance to Hopkins undergrads since 2019 and has also taught students at Harvard, Columbia, NYU, UChicago, and Wharton.
Shahar immigrated to the US when he was three years old. As the first in his family to go to college in the United States, he had to learn how to navigate the challenging college process, from application and admission to financial aid and on-campus work. He is passionate about helping to guide other students on the path to financial wellness.
Shahar graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University with a BA in Economics and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors of the Harvard University Employees Credit Union.
